Blind entrepreneur given a speaking helping hand by Bernie De Souza

Blind author Lynn Pereira has benefited from Bernie De Souza's expertise and invitation to address one of his events at Heythrop Park, Oxfordshire.

Blind entrepreneur Lynn Pereira has burst onto the speaker and literary scene telling powerful and surprisingly witty stories which prove it is possible to overcome the greatest odds and come out victorious - timely messages to revive sagging spirits and inflame passion in global recession.

“Lynn has had a life change like no other and can help people facing upheavals and change in their lives. Her keynotes describe the acid attack which robbed her of sight and destroyed her looks at a time when she was riding high after building up a successful property, import and fashion business.” Bernie says.

At last the author of Orchid Child can now also capitalise on consistent praise since her first Chamber of Commerce engagement where word circulated amongst hotel staff at the Leeds Hilton that a "special talk" had been heard. Many said their farewells in reception alongside audience members and event bookers keen to share their enthusiasm.

Lynn Pereira has become - a powerful presenter who can ignite the passion for business and extinguish inflamed fears. She is a beacon for enlightened thinking towards the disabled and disability issues and self limiting behaviour.

Lynn first met Bernie at a speaker boot camp run by Frank Furness which professionals use to brush up their skills and keep abreast of latest speaking techniques in the UK and USA.

Bernie was impressed with Lynn's determination to succeed as a public speaker as well as her motivational story which he knew would ignite audiences attending events he runs.

She appeared at one of them and learned a great deal from the audience which included business men and women, a former nurse squadron leader, motivational speakers and television personalities.

“I am running speaker boot camps myself which I like to think of as a speaker nursery where people are given help and encouragement to do their best. I also advise on the content of speeches as well as delivery. No-one could fail to be motivated by Lynn Pereira, she is a very special lady,” said Mr De Souza.

De Souza could relate to Lynn's own business story because it is similar to his own. She started a business from nothing and became fabulously wealthy. She met many people in her own business journey who were inspirational and she was grateful to Bernie's invitation to speak.

“People came up to me afterwards and wanted to know more. I am very pleased that I now have a book I can supply at events and I now sometimes hoola hoop as a bit of fun.”

Audiences can view Lynn on You Tube, talking in public as well as hoola hooping. She hopes to attend an event with Bernie again. She endorses the power of working with other professional speakers.

“I like to learn from them and find out what audiences want and what sort of speeches work best,” she said.
