Audiences Have Journey of Self Discovery With Bernie De Souza

Sales ace Bernie De Souza helps hard-pressed call centre staff to have fewer hang ups with his telephone seminars.

Personality profiling is playing its part in providing the ammunition they need to have successful calls as well as providing guidance on how to make callers comfortable and happy to stay on line.

“Through experience I know the right things to say to make people feel comfortable and I teach audiences the tips and techniques I have found successful. Opening statements are the key element of making a successful telephone sales call. Everyone needs a hook and there are various ways to make a potential customer happy to hear from you.”

He has used a D.I.S.C. Profiling process years before it became fashionable in sales and management and recruiting environments.

“It has helped me personally assess people the moment I meet them, it also helps me when I make sales calls for my own business.”

The Personality Insights website cites an example of D.I.S.C. Profiling helping a car salesman. It is a practical example similar to those Bernie De Souza has come across within his own business and hears in the UK, Europe and America.

He demonstrates the effectiveness of the process at the events he runs, sometimes with the benefit of presentations from the Personality Insights creator, Dr Robert Rohm.

“I give examples of the different ways I approach people, based on what I know about them from questions but also even, from the tone in their voice and the pace and pattern of the way they speak. I do this with experience but I show audiences how they can become personality detectives too.”

That was when he was head of a massive sales empire, an experience he uses in his motivational and inspirational talks to businesses, schools, government agencies and charities.

He runs events including some in his home town of Leamington Spa where he invited American human behaviour specialist Dr Robert Rohm, the Personality Insights creator, to present on stage with him and give his invited audience the benefit of the dual experience. There are plans for similar experiences in 2010 in the UK and America.
